Can anyone describe this suit jacket style?

i was looking at this suit (Dormeuil fabric) on ebay...I don't think it's a "Western" suit, but I can't figure out what it is exactly with the seam running across the chest (and back from what I can see in the other pic) . Is there a term for this type of construction? Am I going to look like an extra from a 70's movie if I purchase and wear it?

It almost looks like the jacket is constructed with a yoke (like a shirt). Personally I’d pass.

I agree, quite odd. Add that to poor sleeve button placement. Pass.
