I mentioned it above, but I think the polar bear lacks the ferocity and agility that a large male grizzly has - a polar bear really doesn't have the demeanor that a grizzly has

Yea salt water croc isn't a land animal and would only have an advantage in a water environment. On dry land there's no way the bear loses since the croc has no element of surprise

I'd bet a full sized african bull elephant can beat the living shit out of these cute cuddly creatures... if not then the inland taipan, known as the most venomous land snake, could paralyze that sucka in a heartbeat.

    also, unicorn, duh.

I am not sure about elephant, as I said the weight advantage is there, but the agility is missing.

And OP discounted any venomous or poisonous creatures such as snakes and spiders or some freak of nature like this tiny blue octopus http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue-ringed_octopus

In terms of sheer power no land animal can beat the african elephant. They have been known to kill rhinos for fun. I'd wager that nothing on land bar a man with a large caliber rifle would be able to faze a male in musk.

The largest grizzlies are around 1500 lbs, the African bull elephant can get above 15,000 lbs. Sure I, as a human, would have trouble with a 15 lb bobcat or something, but I don't see how the elephant could lose against something 10% its weight, unless he let it gnaw on his underneck for a while.

didnt realize Caimans were this weak. They are also getting killed in the water. You would think they have the advantage

I just watched a video of a polar bear beating the crap out of a grizzly on the National Geographic Channel. The polar bear was a bit larger, but it wasn't a big size difference.
