Can a ripped wool sweater be fixed?

I've been having a little trouble finding an answer to this question. I have a couple merino wool sweaters that have come apart, not at the seems, but little "rip" holes in the shoulder area from putting the sweaters on. Can these kinds of rips be fixed? Or does one just have to suck it up and get rid of the thing? Thanks in advance for your help.

It would also involve the size of the hole I think too. Small holes would be no problem. Large holes could be problematical and not look so good.

Be forewarned -- re-weaving is pretty expensive (starting at about $50 in NYC and going up quickly). If the sweaters are cheap, it's probably not worth it. If the sweater's are casual weekend type sweaters, you can may just stitch it up. It won't look good, but it's free.

I just stitched up hole in a sweater. It looks like a scar, but that looks better than a hole.

Done carefully it's pretty un-noticable with small holes. I've done this repeatedly on el-cheapo Costco cashmere shirts.
