I just purchased a really casual blazer from the italian woolrich line and its perfect minus the lack of the chest pocket. I was looking forward to an excuse to wear pocket squares more often.

now, the sleeves are each about two inches too long, and while i'd normally just turn up the cuff on a jacket this casual, would it be possible to cut the sleeves and have a tailor add the chest pocket?

any help would be appreciated,

thanks

If: a) it has patch pockets b) you can find matching fabric (other than 4" strips the length of the wrist, which just will not work) then this is possible. However, you'll be much more likely to be happy if you return the jacket and find one that's actually perfect.
