A coworker just got back from Rome with a pair of these shoes. They are simple brown captoes but they have a nice shape, slightly squared off toe and what seems to be some real nice leather. Did a quick search and I found a mariano campanile shoe manufacturer (very little info) but what they show on their site and what my friend has on are two different animals. Anyone own a pair or know of them?

Ed,
I have 3 pairs and try to buy them anytime I can.
They are very well made and use great leathers. In general the lasts are very elegant and fit my feet very well.
I have a pair of very simple black captoes that are pretty much my favorite shoes.
I can post pics if you wish.
Ive had them for about 3-4 years and they age very nicely.

Yoox has camanile shoes, and Ebay can be a good source as well.

I don't know if it is true, also because I know that Campanile makes also another kind of shoes called Brian Cress, but it is a sort of young line.. do you know? I will ask if they makes shoes also for other stylists....
