I recently got a tan Camel Hair jacket. and am looking to wear it with a pair of grey, wool, windowpane trousers. I believe that is a light windowpane pattern? correct me if I'm wrong. I thought that the brown lines would look nice with the jacket. And i really like my bit loafers...(which are cole haan ascot II's in brown) I was going to wear grey socks with the shoes and a brown belt that matches my loafers. any ideas about shirts? polos, cashmere sweaters, button downs, colors? any and all is greatly appreciated. this is my first post. thanks again.

I tried to attach a picture so I hope it shows up. Attachment 61132

A pale blue shirt and a navy sweater would work well with the colors you've chosen.

White shirt would work.

Chocolate brown wool tie if you're so inclined.

If he wants to go no-tie but take it to the next level, throw in a chocolate brown cardigan.

The OP is my sartorial brother from another mother. I LOVE that look. I used to own a classic copper camel hair sports coat that just killed with mid-grey flannels. Alas, a huge amount of weight loss forced me to get rid of the coat, but I hope to replace it in a year or two.

Copper camel hair coats are greatly underappreciated and should be far more of a staple than they presently are. They look good on everyone and are incredibly versatile.
