Calf Vs Cordovan

I'm picking up a pair of plan brown loafers for Spring and I'm going with either the Sperry in Cordovan or the Bass Weejun in what they call "Rub-Off Calf."

They're both in the same $100 ballpark, but the Sperry runs for about $15 more. Is Cordovan going to age better or something? Is it worth paying the extra for the Sperry's?

that cordovan will be the color of the leather, most likely calf. they are not shell cordovan like you may be thinking.

Ahhh. Ok. Thanks for the heads up. I guess it doesn't really matter then.

True. Sperry's cordovan is the color, not the type of leather.

cordovan is way overrated imo
