    Gentles all,

It is with great honor that we join the StyleForum community as an official affiliate.

We have already received an overwhelming amount of support from members of the community since our launch in SS16 - for which you have our sincerest thanks and deepest gratitude.

For those of you not familiar with us, Calculus is an alternative concept store located in Victoria - the capital city of British Columbia on the Canadian West Coast.

Inspired by the live/work ateliers of our most admired designers, Calculus eschews the conventional structure of investor, creative director, buyer – and various associated staff.

We are a painfully independent operation, where all responsibilities are handled by myself [Graham], and my wife [Ashleigh] - resulting in a store whose concept, curation, and execution are an unfiltered distillation of our own distinctly romantic ethos.

Clients can shop with us online, or by appointment at our self-converted, c.1903 arts & crafts home-based showroom.

    Brands for SS17:

    Ann Demeulemeester
    Forme D'Expression
    Guidi
    Jan-Jan Van Essche
    Reinhard Plank
    Rick Owens
    Rick Owens DRKSHDW
    Werkstatt:München

    Coming FW17:

    Geoffrey B. Small

*In celebration of our inauguration into the StyleForum affiliate ranks, we would like to offer all members an additional 20% off store-wide - to take advantage of this offer, please use code SF20 at checkout.

To stay on top of all future promotions, news, and announcements, we encourage you to register for our mailing list - here.

If you have any questions for us, please never hesitate to reach out via email, phone, social media, or private message - you can find our email and social media contacts below.

    Many thanks,

    Graham

Great to have you guys here. Even though I have never purchased from your shop, you were very informative and helpful. Best of luck.

How warm/heavy are the Forme wool/linen articles (e.g. the Prussian coat and the worker jacket)?

These are quite warm, the Prussian coat moreso than the worker's jacket, mind you.

Both are made of the same heavy weight wool/linen tweed woven shell, but the Prussian coat is fully lined [with the shell fabric doubled along collar, placket, and cuffs], whereas the worker's jacket is completely unlined.

    Hope that helps!

Nothing in Vic is more than a 10-15 minute drive from the harbor. 8D

Jokes aside, we're located in the Oak Bay district, just around the corner from the village.

I had a coffee at some mall a few blocks from 4horsemen in Victoria a couple of years ago. Is it anywhere close to there?

4horsemen is in the downtown core, we're in Oak Bay ~8 minutes by car to the east.

mind you, there are also multiple fine coffee shops within a couple blocks of us. ;)

I love those sneakers, too. I really want the red ponyskin ones but hard to justify the price. I have black suede Ann highs that I don't wear often enough, so hard to justify the lows...
