I want to order the C&J Connaught from PLAL. However, I am a little unsure what size to order. I have seen some on this forum say it is a somewhat awkward fitting last. Below are the shoes I have and how they fit, so hopefully this will indicate to you all what size I should purchase.

Polo Ralph Lauren Darlton dark brown Shell Cordovan penny loafer by C&J 10D. I am satisfied with the fit.

Polo Ralph Lauren (Macallan?) dark brown Shell Cordovan Chukka by C&J 10D. I think it’s a little on the big side.

Brooks Brother by C&J scotch-grain tan/ brown Conniston boot 10D. Great Fit.

Brooks Brothers by Alden dark brown suede loafer 10D. I think this shoe is with out question too narrow in the toe box.

Brooks Brothers by Alden plain toe blutcher in black calf. Pretty happy with the fit.

So in general I think the a US 10D is a safe bet, however I have tried on the C&J Roseberry and thought it was too narrow.

Also, I am getting married in February; could this shoe be worn with a tuxedo? Regards.

The Connaught and the Weymouth are on different lasts.

Is the McCallum on the 325? The 325 and the 236 fit pretty similarly.

You could probably get away with the Connaught, mirror-shined, with a tuxedo. Don't tell Manton, but I've been known to wear my Whitehalls with a tux. But the chatham, on the same exact last, is dirt cheap--$233 from Plal.
