Yesterday the postman brought me my C&J Chelsea V in the dark brown antique nubuck, as shown in the link below. I love them. But I was wondering, for those of you who own this boot, how do you use it. I thought it would be a natural with jeans, but it didn't look quite right. I guess tweeds, melanges and heavier wools, perhaps even lighter fabrics, such as khakis. Any comments?

It doesn't look right with jeans? Then I'd try cords and moleskins, and perhaps some heavy-twill chinos. Tweed, I'd think, would be a natural.

Did you try different cuts of jeans? Seems like it would work nicely. What was the problem?

It seems a little too dressy, believe it or not. It is really nice looking boot.

I think these boots are absolutely perfect with smarter jeans (plain wash + dark).

Does anyone have tips for how to care for this kind of nubuck?
