I wear custom orthotics, and it's a real crapshoot as to what they fit in. Sometimes, I can leave the factory insole in, other times I have to take it out. Occasionally, I have to cut it in half and put half of it back in. I think what matters more than the brand is the size of the orthotic and your foot.

I have custom ones and hardly ever have to take the insole out of a shoe to put them in. Their are a couple shoes I own that they won't fit, but otherwise it has not been a problem.

What type of insole do you have?

I am unsure of what you're asking

I have custom made orthotics as well, made by Sole Supports

The soles of my shoes are glued

I wear tretorn high tops right now. They started ripping apart.. I guess thats what happens when you buy lace-less slip on high tops and then put in orthotics 6 months laters?

Their are different types of insoles. Some that extend the whole length of the shoes and some that are around 1/2 the length. The 1/2 ones are easier to fit in shoes without removing the insoles. I have that type. Mine are made out of leather, but their are other materials out their that can affect how flexible they are. Honestly, I find it easy to put them inside most of my shoes without having to take the original stuff out.
