    Hello Gentlemen,

I was looking for advice on purchasing my very first suit. I'm 19, very tall, approximately 6.1-2, and very slim, I weigh approx 61kg. I'm budgeting myself to around $500. Unless an outstanding sale arises. I'm sticking to around $500 because I also want to buy myself a watch, a leather satchel and a pair of dress shoes. The look I was going for was more casual/smart, navy with tan leather accessories. Recently navy suits have caught my attention, but i'm open to other recommendations for a first suit. I tried on both the West End Simon Carter today (I found the pants didn't really fit me that well), and a navy slim suit in Roger David (the pants definitely were a little tighter which I preferred). I also took a look at the H'bone Royal Twill online and I liked the style of that suit, however a little out of my budget, and the SupplySuit Navy Napoli. My brother owns a Calibre suit which perfectly fits my build, just to give an idea of what cut fits my body type.

I was looking for maybe some advice on where to purchase good quality suits for around my budget, even specific suits would be a better bet, maybe some critiques on the suits I've described above and advice on what to steer clear of when purchasing a suit.

    Thank you!

the forum's search function is horrible but just go to google and search " first suit cheap tall" or some such. try a few combos. you'll find plenty to read, i think.

75% of my SF browsing/reading is done this way. Good tip to get out there.

As the other two gentleman suggested, use the search feature, specifically for rules for the tall and skinny guy. Second, for you and every other new're not that tall. You're 6'1", which is fairly tall, but still on the border between R and L, depending on brand.
