Buying Loake Burford - size question

I'm about to order a Loake Burford boot online and I'm a bit worried about which size to choose. I'm usually a regular size 10 (size 44 eu) but I've understood from reading other posts that Loake are usually somewhat large. However I've emailed pediwear asking them which size they recommend and they deny that I should go down half a size or a full size and instead recommended I'd choose my regular size. But before I order I would like to ask for some extra advice, so what do you say?

I would say true to size is right. I have a pair of Tyrwhitt/Loake oxfords and a pair of Loake 290 chelsea boots -- both fit pretty true to size. Maybe a bit roomy with the oxfords, but the chelseas are true. In any event, wear them on the carpet for an evening and make sure they fit, as pediwear is reticent to take returns that have scuffed up soles.

I too am considering the Burford. If you pull the trigger, please post your sizing determination.

I am a 9.5 or a 10 in most US shoes. In loake i am a 8.5 UK.

Note i have never had the burford. The closest i got was the kempton or the military boot loake made for CT.
While the military boot is wearable, i kind of wished i would have went with a 9 UK in the military boot.

I'm a 10.5 US in most shoes. My only Loakes are 9.5 UK.
