You can take off the requirement for immediate payment, meet them, and then mark it paid if they pay cash, or relist if they don’t buy.
+1, If they purchase in person, it's also a good idea to have them leave feedback while you are with them, since you will not have proof of delivery/tracking.
So to understand this a little better, is this something you would both do? Would you require cash payment? Require leaving feedback at time of transaction? Agree to price on eBay pending "fit"?

Yeah, They have to commit to buy them on ebay first in order to exchange contact information, so you would still have to pay ebay fees on the sale. I'd accept cash and require feedback as proof of delivery. And then I would, of course, try to sell them other stuff on the side.

Yea, I am not trying to get out of the eBay fee for the particular item. Would you require it to be cash or simply accept it? Cash avoids anyone trying to pull a chargeback nonsense and spares me paypals fees which is nice. They will have to agree to purchase and if it doesn't work out when they try them on I guess I relist? Thanks again for the advice.

Yeah. Cash would be best. Also it goes without saying that you should probably meet in a public location. Chances are he won’t show up anyway.

I have an offer for $1,000 for an item, but it's shipping to France. The person has 100 percent positive feedback as a buyer (28 ratings). Is there something terrible that could happen to my item and I lose my money and the item?

They return it, but instead, it is a bag of rocks. But that could happen with something shipped anywhere.

Is it possible for feedback for a buyer to be less than 100%?

That reminds me: can I call to change feedback for a ****** buyer?

After leaving me false and defamatory feedback, opening a PayPal case, having that PayPal case closed because the clock ran out, sending jeans to my home asking for a refund — this guy is *still* emailing me about how I am proof humanity is lost because he can’t be bothered to read a listing.
