what eyeglass frame brands, in your experiences,do well as resale on EBay? i have a small sum of employer healthcare dollars that I can use or lose, and intend to buy a few pairs of prescription glasses, and flip ‘em based on the frame value.

(Yes, this is sketch, but no, it does not violate the spirit nor letter of the healthcare dollars. And the employer is a PoS so my conscience would be pretty clear)

Eh i wouldn't fuss about it being sketch
as for brands, it's the ones you would expect: Tom Ford, designer brands (Gucci, Fendi, etc), Ray Ban, Oakley. you'd have to do your research to figure out what avenue would be the best bang for your buck

i'd ask if you can get the frames w/o rx lenses. I don't know if that's a possibility, but worth a shot and could possibly lower the cost.

I should probably pay more attention to the USPS news releases from eBay, but I didn't realize that they were doing away with Regional Rate. I used those quite often, especially the A boxes.

Same. I'd been trying to figure out how to add them back once I saw they'd disappeared, until it occurred to me to check if it was an official thing and not yet another random glitch. I shipped mostly in RRA for ease/ to save on postage vs medium flat rate. Does anyone know if there is a work around or should I just buy a non-janky postage scale and embrace weighed boxes?

a buyer has ghosted me for the last week after he won a $600 item. Based on his address from the invoice, I see he lives in a building that I walk by 5x a week.

How batshit crazy would it be for me to print the invoice and leave it with his doorman with a post-it note saying something like "I'm worried you haven't received the payment requests I've sent in the EBay system - could you send the $ ASAP?"

Tempting as it might be, for me, that would cross the "stalky" boundary. Best just to add a note to your invoice through eBay saying "your item has been carefully packed and is ready for shipping as soon as payment is made". A few days later I will add "if you have changed your mind, no worries. Please let me know right away so I can get it re-listed ASAP, as I have other potentially interested buyers". YMMV, of course.

In my experience on eBay (25 years next month) you're most likely already out of luck, and it's going to be an NPB. I have rarely seen items paid for after around 3-4 days of non-payment and non-communication. It has happened now and again, but not often, as people who intend to pay are usually diligent about telling me why there is a delay and when they will pay. They don't ghost. So in this kind of situation, I try to rule out the winning bidder as a potential buyer as fast as I can so I can get the dang thing back on offer.

It's definitely worse with higher-$$ items (like your $600 item), as buyers' remorse is much more common amongst those who exceed their financial sensibility in a moment of passion, but get buzzkilled by a reality check. Too embarrassed to get in touch, instead singing a loud song with their fingers in their ears.

But on the other hand, I think you should cut out a ransom demand letter out of newspaper clippings with pictures of your item, and bribe the doorman to slip them under the guy's door.
