Would ebay then take the payment too? What's a seller supposed to do when a buyer purchases an item like this but ebay doesn't provide any of the documents that would be required?

Because the seller has to provide those papers. The buyer don’t know / care etc.
Exotics is always very very problematic without papers, but maybe you „find“ Cites paper somewhere.

I’ve had that happen to me before on a python bag Going to France . Was supposed to be “destroyed” then i found the bag listed with my pictures in another sellers store. Apparently instead of destroying the items like they are supposed to the actually get sold at auction. Had multiple eBay supervisors deny it and even call me a liar but that **** happens and when i looked Into it I wasn’t the only one with a similar story

How would the customs people know which ones were your pics, though?

:puzzled:

It was an eBay reseller who won the auction, it was a GSP sale so it never actually made it out of the US and it was a very obscure piece so it wasn’t hard to find when i did An eBay search

I have shipped several pairs of exotic shoes to the EU (including a pair of elephant Church's to a guy in Germany). I just put "men's shoes" in the description. Never had a problem.

the hold was likely triggered by the Ebay description. I always do generic titles for customs. "used men's shoes". Unless they open the box, they won't know whether they are Hermes croc or blown-out Florsheim's.

Thanks guys. Yeah, whenever I have to fill out customs forms, I take it a step lower and just put "Shoes". Thankfully, since these were sold through the GSP and no customs form filled out, ebay will be refunding both me and the buyer since it was their mistake for letting the transaction happen in the first place. They occasionally have brief, fleeting moments of justice.

In other ebay news, this guy was able to open a not received claim for something he didn't pay for.

So I printed out my shipping label and packing slip. The packing slip says Russia but the shipping label has a city in Kentucky. The payment made included my ebay international shipping fee and the label is a international one. It's not making sense to me. Can you fellas enlighten me on what's going on?

GSP distribution center is in Kentucky. Did you sell through eBay GSP?
