Whoa! I'm coming up on 18 years. I had no idea. Not 100% sure what got me to sign up. I'd be willing to bet it had something to do with guitar pedals.

I have a new eBay account after a long layoff, but I recall some fun times in the early 00s when I figured out I could pay for all my Criterion DVDs by selling the empty disc cases that came with them. (Some would go out of print, or people wanted them to sell with their ghetto-ass burned copies).

If I had had internet before 2005 I surely would have been selling a lot sooner. Up until then I bought stuff at goodwill and sold it to the pawn shop for gas money and cash for smokes.

I’ve been on eBay since September 2002 on my own account, which was when I listed my first item (a thrifted REI down jacket). Before that, I was using my mom’s account to buy on eBay. As I recall, she created the account early in 1999.

Multiple nitpicky questions before the sale, then refused to pay. I filed an unpaid item case, and after it closed, he's sent me three messages asking me to "remove" it.
