Does staple stuff sell much faster on Ebay than here?

Seems like nothing is moving here right now, so I'm thinking I'll just try Ebay. The only thing I'm worried about is getting scammed, but I don't know how frequent that happens with suits and such.

I sell about 99% (no joke) of my items on ebay and they sell for more then I am asking here. IMO the B&S forum has slowly died since they changed the layout about 2? years ago, Maybe others have a different opinion. That said, you can always consign items if you are worried... I know one or two people around here do that kind of thing [IMG]

This has already been handled, but I always make people become the high bidder on an item before they can buy, once they are, end auction "sell to highest bidder" then send an invoice to them for the agreed upon price regardless of final price of auction. This also helps flush out bidders, if they try to become the highest bidder and it goes beyond the price they want to pay, well, thanks for bidding up my item! [IMG]
Wow, that is 100% CYA. If they enforced that they would lose what, 95% of the clothing resellers, everyone that isn't the actual company selling items themselves? I can verify the authenticity (with a store receipt) of exactly 0% of my current auctions, with an overall average of .001% for the items I buy from NMLC or Barney's warehouse that I can verify with a receipt. Oh, and if you really wanted to be picky, most of the time the store receipt isn't detailed enough to prove that was the item you sold.

Yup. Amazing what people with nothing but time on their hands can do.

This is good to know. I wasn't sure if you were able to adjust the invoice once you ended the auction.

Bit o' braggadocio: A new record for me - listed an item, waited til it showed up in search (about 20 mins), walked outside to crack a beer and check the mobile app - bam - already sold BIN. Which some folks take to mean it was priced too low - I take it to mean it was priced just right. [IMG]

Congrats! I prescribe to the right person, right time theory. It's why I can't let items sit on a hanger unlisted, might miss out on that one perfect buyer tonight, if I wait until tomorrow to list it...
