Hey Garagesale users - once I drag and drop my photos into the auction template from the hard drive, does Garagesale make a copy of the photo and keep it in the template? Can I delete the other off of the drive? Running out of space, and don't really want to order an external drive at the momen (yes, I am making backups so I don't lose my stuff.)

Thanks! Don't know why I couldn't find it.

I've got a ladies belt I'm posting that has gauguin's riders in the beach printed on the leather. I wanted to get more idea of prices.

If you look in the library folder, there's an application support folder. Garagesale stores the scaled down copies in that folder but not in any order.

I would be interested in how people archive their auctions.

I make batch folders broken down by months throughout the year. Each batch consists of a photo shoot of XX amount of items. So I may have 25-30 batches in each month, and those month folders are stored in annual folders. This is all on my hard drive. From there I edit those pictures, and drag & drop those into GS. Those files are stored at a smaller size, because eBay limits the size, and there is no need for me to store original image sizes...after all we plow through so many listings and sales, there is no point in me keeping them.

Got a purchase from Australia. I quoted them 45 dollars for shipping, actually came out to be 70. Should I ask for them to cover the rest, or mark this up as a costly lesson learned?

Your misquote/mistake, you eat the cost....imo. How would you feel if it was reversed? Wouldnt you be here complaining how it was a crappy seller who quoted you one price only to turn around and ask for more money?

How were you so far off on this? Sorry but you really have to think like the customer here and just eat the cost.

I took close to 300 photos last night. How do some of you do that several times a week? Serious question: do you wear sunglasses? My eyes were bugging out from being in such crazy lighting for several hours.

I've never shipped to Australia, so I figured the shipping was roughly as much as shipping to Europe. Eh, whatever.

It is a lot of pictures no doubt, but it just has to be done! I usually put on some music, and get rollin. By the time I'm done, I'm covered in sweat from all the movement. I don't stop for anything.

70$ is expensive, what service or option did you use?

Just send as 'small air packets' without delivery confirmation and whatever :D I do that all the time and I've been lucky. I calculated it's better to charge the minimal price every time and have a worldwide basis of customers and maybe one day someone will fuck me over and claim 'item never received' and blablabla. Refund, eat the cost of shipping + original item price...

I've shipped surface (boat) to Brazil without DC, Honk Kong, Switzerland, Australia, Russia, Colombia etc... It's just fun :D Only 5 stars feedbacks for those...
This is also 'thinking like a customer' : why would ANYONE pay 40$ for a jacket and then 40 or 50$ for air delivery with confirmation? People just want the cheapest alternative...
Especially us bro, in Canada. Whenever I buy some stuff I always ask if it's possible to ship First Class, cheapest and slowest way I don't care. 90% of the time people accept it.
