Interesting. I might try this.
@capnwes , is there anything in particular you have to do in eBay to make this work flawlessly?
I'm pretty sure it won't work for the GSP, but it does work for regular International transactions.
I've wondered this too because I recently saw an article that suggested the automatic relist doesn't jump you back up in the ratings. I've changed my BINOBO's to start Friday night and end Sundays on a 30 day auction.
No idea yet if it really matters.
If u end up canceling the transaction and starting over, make sure you choose an option on the buyers error, or you may get stuck with a defect for the cancellation. Another strategic victory for eBay....
Ah, never mind. Things have worked themselves out the regular way. Still curious though.
+1 I have spoke to multiple ebay reps who basically said, if there is any issue, buyer dosent want it, sending a partial refund, etc choose the buyer returning for a refund or buyer changed mind. This covers any and all types of refunds. DO NOT choose "other" as that counts against the seller.
Pretty sure a seller would lose payal confirmed address and ebay seller protection. If I was dealing with a long time repeat buyer, I wouldn't worry and would let them change the address. But any time this has come up before I've asked the buyer to cancel the transaction (which they must initiate to avoid a defect) and repurchase. This has happened for me a few times so far and only had one buyer who wouldn't repurchase (and I cancelled his sale).
Nope, in an international transaction, you can resend an invoice, at that point the buyer can register an additional address to ship to, and can even switch it to a US address. As long as it prints out on the label ebay supplies, you should be covered.
Can I call this tie 'ancient madder pattern'? Not clear about the exact definition. The tie is made in England by John Comfort. The silk feels very nice to the touch, but not sure I'd call it 'chalky' as I've seen ancient madder silks described everywhere. Honestly, I'm not even sure how to interpret 'chalky' in the feel of a tie. Thanks!
I cant see upclose, but from my experience the ancient madder has more of a super fine twill pattern and is not silky smooth.
This is actual quite easy to do, but really stumped me the first time. You do not need to cancel the transaction! I have had a few items sold that were setup through GSP, but the buyers contacted me about using international priority to save on shipping. Once they make the purchase their Paypal address will be visable to you, from there you can send a direct invoice to their Paypal address with the correct amount. Once they pay they will mark as payment sent and you will mark as payment received and proceed as normal.
Thanks for correcting! Didn't know that.
But only before they make payment.
