    Advice please:

I have a really nice overcoat with raglan shoulders and a potential buyer has asked numerous times of what the shoulder measurement is ...

    1. there aren't any shoulder seams due to the raglan shoulders
    AND
    2. he wants the measurements of the shoulders at its WIDEST. How does one pick where to measure of where the WIDEST is? Can someone provide some instructions to do so?

    Thanks!

make sure you get the corneliani maker tag pictured, that will affect the sale price dramatically.

Yeah. I have that. Officers coat doesn't really return any relevant hits on ebay though. Tried db coat, overcoat, etc. as well.

Totally disagree. You should try starting it between 199 and 299 (apparently 299 seems okay since there are a few ones at that price). At 9.99 you could get ****** left and right and end up with a crazy low price. We're not Spoo :D If you're patient it will sell (and well). Try 299, next week if it doesnt sel, do 249, etc. I make hundreds of $ this way. IF I had to start all my listings at 9.99, I wouldnt be in this business anymore.

One tip : with "POLO" Ralph Lauren and Officer "COAT" in the title you'll get traffic from people searching for "Polo coat" so you're okay. And you're not technically [IMG] ahah. Recently sold a similar PRL at 202.49, so you should be okay :)

PS : this coat is baller.

Try "over coat" - not "overcoat"

BALLER! Polo Ralph Lauren by Corneliani Herringbone Tweed Wool Officer Coat 44R

You can edit the Baller and replace by "Officer Over Coat" [IMG]

I'm not trying to be a dick and rain on your parade, its a nice coat but I see exactly 2 PRL overcoat (or top coat) that sold over $200 (excluding Cashmere) and one is a bad ass one with velvet collar that Wes sold and a very rare tan plaid one. More power to you if you get more, I'm just trying to be a realist.

First measure from the collar all the way to the cuff. Then make your best guess about where to measure the shoulder width and TAKE A PICTURE of the measuring tape at that point. Provide the pic and both measurements to the potential buyer.

Why is this guy bidding and retracting bids?

Is he fishing to see how high the initial bidder went?
    I don't like it.

Yes. I've blocked them - I don't like that sort of thing either. Folks also do it to see what the reserve is on auctions that have it.

Well, that's the last time I auction off anything Hickey Freeman. $11 for a navy blue cashmere/wool blazer in a 42R in excellent condition. :embar:

Nothing wrong with auctions, I seem to get more viewers on a weekly basis from auction listings... Just start the thing higher.
