This is why I just refund the occasional fool who can't figure measurements, block them, and relist. Easier, faster, only pissed for a few minutes vs. days, and no negative feedback.

^^I usually do too. In this case, I paid $15 for shipping (once you account for fees, sig requirement, insurance, etc), and wasn't excited about being out that money for some dumbass's mistake.

If you win the case, the feedback should be removed. you did say it was escalated?

Yes. I tried last week and was told to wait until Tuesday. Then the buyer beat me to the punch. By the time I called ebay, they were clearly influenced by the buyer and inclined to rule against me -- even though I pointed out that I'd photographed the label (primary complaint was that shirt received was labeled X, when it was listed as Y) and provided actual measurements, so that I was best representing both tagged and actual fit. It was all I could do to get them to agree that, if the buyer couldn't prove that either were inaccurate, that someone -- at least ebay -- should make me whole on my shipping costs.

So the bottom line is: I KNOW they are going to rule against me. They told me as much. So the only way to get the feedback removed is if it violates the policy -- which it DOES, since it's inaccurate. But they're refusing. Because they're asshats.

I had a $300 return recently due to "does not fit", had label pics and measurements. Told buyer I'd refund minus my original shipping cost and not pay their return postage. They were ok with it but that might have been an exception. They paid to try it on - beats going to the store sometimes I guess.

Jesus. This whole situation is making me rage.

Are you only allowed to have 8 cases opened against you, than they shut your account down? Is there some process to lower it/equalize it somehow.

Srsly. I WON a similar case as a seller when I had less evidence. I'm sorry for you, man. It really is all about getting on the phone with them first.

Small flat rate, it's either $23.50 or $26.50 and prints on the normal size printing label.

From what I can tell, all of this is based on the number of transactions you've had in the past year.

On a more serious note, how do people avoid getting low DSRs for shipping cost when shipping things like ties via Priority mail? I can't get people to understand just how much it costs to ship things like boots... I gave up and started offering free or at least really cheap shipping.

@troika had a little guide on how to do this, for that money I would be tempted to try to dye them blue and take a day trip to Memphis and break them in if they were my size.

Doubt they would come out well if you tried blue - dark brown, probably.
