    No Worries.

Quote: I am assuming its a DSLR. Take lens off, turn it upside down and use the air bulb blower. That should loosen the debris. You can also buy those sensor cleaning swabs. Plenty of Youtube tutorials if you are hesitant.

I just cleaned a Nikon D70 i picked up from thrift store and did this method. I think it looks pretty good.

Yes. General traffic to my auctions seems down, despite getting a bit more aggressive on dropping my prices.

Well whaddaya know! I had no clue what that was (never clicked on it). Thanks!

Unfortunately the dust speck is in my point-and-shoot. Which doesn't sound like much, but it's my Canon SX200-IS that cost me around $400 a couple years ago. Of course now it's an older model and you can get them new for cheap.

A Nikon D70 at a thrift? Great find!

My month has been on par actually, lets see how that carries over to the next.

Mines been great, biggest month yet, but I've also had significantly more items up than in past months, which I think has a lot to do with the amount of exposure eBay offers you.

I've definitely been lazy about putting up new listings. Warmer weather = house & yard projects = less time for ebay.

This is true, but it's percentages that lead me to believe that eBay increases exposure based partially on the amount of items you have for sale. I haven't doubled my items, but I have more than doubled my sales. So there you go. I noticed a significant uptick in early interest on my items (Bids early in the week when I usually had none until at least Friday or Saturday for auctions ending on Sunday) at around the 70 piece mark, and another up-tick around 120. I could be reading into something that isn't really there, but it seems causal. However, I have no documented proof that eBay offers you more or better exposure in search results based on the number of items you offer.

*Of course, it could also be that I'm just offering better stuff lately because I've become more picky.

Yeah, I'm willing to believe that. But I'm also welling to believe that eBay offers better coverage to people who pay them more money (*edit: meaning that "best match" is at least partially subjective, and part of their algorithm may be based on the number of items in your store), and more listings = more money. Again, I don't know. I've definitely gotten more choosy in the thrifts. My listings haven't seen a serious uptick in quality for a long time, except this week when I started using a new camera. Maybe 50/50 of both?

Saw a two week dip, probably because I was really sick for 10 days and then went on vacation. That said, Q2 has always been my slowest quarter of the year. People saving that money to spend on their summer vacations.
