Not necessarily. As of right now, with you not offering returns, customers end up making up excuses (smells like smoke, small holes, measurements wrong, etc) If you offer hassle-free returns, the buyer will just be able to choose the real reason they're returning and you won't get a mark on your account. They could still make up stuff because they think you might reject the return somehow. Just make sure to put that you offer hassle-free returns in your listings.

For any type of return, would they go through the case system again or just Pm me?

When you offer returns, there's a link for the buyer that says something like "initiate return". It basically works the same as the case system where they'll leave a reason for the return and then print out a shipping label. You'll then have the option of issuing a return right away or waiting to inspect the item. You can still end up with marks on your account from it, but you're less likely. Like people say here all the time, even if you don't accept returns, you still accept returns because eBay will make you.

Is the hassle free option the 14 day option, just to double check.

Thank you. I truly think this may be my record for a long time. I rarely see shirts go that high. Even your high end Kiton, Borrelli, ect.

...all it took was two ambitious bidders....

I am convinced that measurements and how to measure are magical and mysterious to most ebay buyers. I have some BB custom made shirts. BB does not put measurements or fits on the labels of these shirts. I put actual measurements of neck, sleeve, and P2P in the listings.

Question from ebayer: Hello- how do you know that this shirt is in fact 18.5 x 35 ?

My answer: I have a yardstick and I know how to measure shirts.

I had a guy ask me if I could measure again with a different tape measure, because he was hoping the shoes would be about a half inch longer. I felt silly having to explain to him that all the inches on all of my measuring devices were the same size.

I mean, sometimes I ask sellers to double-check their measurements in the hope that they were off the quarter or half-inch I need to make something work?

I had a guy return a pair of Incotex trousers that insisted they were a 34-36 waist. I asked him to confirm that they were 19 inches across when laid flat. He confirmed, and then insisted that meant they were actually 36. He then also claimed the inseam was 29 rather than 30.

Took the return, my measurements were spot-on, and relisted.

This guy had me measure a couple times, inside and out. Then asked me to try a different ruler. lol

I though about offering to let him send me his ruler if he thought mine were faulty.

Well, in his defense a ton of standard clothing sold in the US is vanity sized like that. I mean, I can fit in a pair of 36 to 38 jean levis, but trousers is an entirely different story. People just don't know their measurements, or how clothing should fit.
