I'm having problems with a couple auctions I'm running. This one, for a Robert Graham shirt, has 7 views after a little over two days, and this one, for a Hugo Boss sportcoat, only has three views in the same amount of time. What am I doing wrong? Last time I had an RG shirt I sold it for $70, and last week I had some Hugo Boss pants that had 12-15 watchers after 2 days. Any advice?

For the Hogo Boss sports coat, it may be the size 43s. Most people filter their searches according to the even number sizes. They will either look at size 42 or 44. What I see many sellers doing with odd size jackets is list an even number in the description. In your case they will list it as 42 43 or 43 44, whatever they feel the size matches more closely to.

Robert Graham multi-stripe casual button-front shirt with gold placket detail

I would say, you need to work on the wording of this listing title. Not many folks (if any) would search multi-stripe or gold placket detail. You won't need to spell out shirt since ebay will categorize that for you. Also the shirt is not entirely hideous which will probably result in a lower selling price.

Maybe something like this will do better.

I couldn't figure out what was wrong with the action at first. Now I think I see it. Pay the .40 cents and run a 10 day auction, not a 7 day. I see exponentially more traffic on 10 days. At this point, you're better off ending the listings, updating the title a bit, and relisting it starting tomorrow for 10 days. You should see better results.

My 10 day listing end on Sunday monthly comparison report will be out soon, just waiting on the official October numbers to be released.

Might try putting the size in the title on the Boss Sport Coat, if I was searching for a 43 Sport coat and I typed that in the search instead of doing filters, your coat doesn't come up.

It could also be that the RG shirts is, visually, kind of conservative. If people are eyeballing/screening search results by the thumbnails, then they may simply be passing.

I had one RG shirt that was plaidish - and one I actually would have considered wearing - that had low watchers and went for a song (though I still made money).

+1 on the title change. Those RG fans love embroidery so work that in. I also use RARE. It's not like searching for a blue and white bengal striped OCBD. These guys are looking for something unique so maybe appeal,to that.

I did realize that "embroidery" seems to be the magic word when it come to RG, but I couldn't find any embroidery on that shirt.

What do you call that strip where the button holes are? Usually there's always a strip of embroidery there. Fudging it, I know, but...

It's only a technicality on this shirt, the RG Signature is embroidered.

I dunno. Depends on the P&S I guess. If it has a hotshoe or a sync port you can.
