Nothing compares to eBay when it comes to the views and buyers involved worldwide. That is why eBay / PayPal fees can total around 11-13%...which we all do not enjoy paying on top of listing fees, but what you gonna do?

Amazon is worse. They've been fee-upping constantly and it's starting to get nearly impossible to source products without being a major retailer. Getting pretty bad, might have to turn away from Amazon soon enough.

Can the limitations be bypassed if you open up a store?

Nope, but if you have some history on eBay you can call them and discuss a limit uppage.

How the hell do I win this?

    The case details:
The buyer says the item doesn't match the description.
The buyer paid on Aug 03, 2014.
The item is defective or broken

    Additional information:
"The flip video cam you sent does not work. I have tried new batteries to no avail. Just cannot get it to function. Please advise "

    The buyer requested:
A refund. The refund amount includes the purchase price plus original shipping.

I wrapped it in 3 layers of bubble wrap. I know it could have been broken in the mail but WTF I have no recourse I lose either way.

This was a cheap little Flip Video camera. I tested it before I shipped it and have video on my computer. If I refund her, I get a defect. If I say no returns I get a negative feedback.

I fucking hate eBay so bad

For you consignors out there: I use Outright to track expenditures. How do you categorize your consignment payouts?

Also, do you know a way to make Garage Sale Track consignment items? Have you used it for inventory?

    Thanks!

You don't. It's against eBays TOS and if you're caught you'll be banned pretty fast.

I don't think I've ever responded to one of those messages.

I respond by blocking them and moving on. I have gotten sucked in and then you get the whole "c'mon man, fuck eBay, more money for both of us."

Anyone who pressures me to break the TOS probably won't hesitate to give me other trouble down the line with some bullshit SNAD case if they do end up buying from me through ebay. I'm playing the long con - the risk of getting banned or issues further down the line aren't worth it.

How do you measure the insoles of shoes? Tape Measure seems impossible as I can't fit my hand far enough in to hold it straight, so it'll bunch up and give me inaccurate measurements.

Someone (user @jebarne perhaps?) posted a pic awhile ago of a measuring tape he'd attached to a stick, so he could shove it into the toe and it would remain taut.

I really should make a Walmart run, I need so many things for all the shoes I've picked up lately. Was hoping I could just make due with in-home items, but doesn't seem like I'm stocked adequately.

Here we go. Looks like he measured a paint stick to 6" and attached the tape at the end.
