It doesn't make any sense. It's not like I'm tracking packages from USPS's site. It's within ebay itself. So ebay tells me that every package I've dropped in the morning has been validated by USPS by evening time. This has happened for every single item I've ever sold. But somehow when it comes to calculating percentages, it's only 88%.

Do you buy and print postage direct thru ebay? Or at the USPS and enter the tracking later? I dunno - I go thru ebay and am at 100% - can't think of any other reason you'd be at 88%.

Ebay. Always. It's been 100% through May, then 90 something in June. And 75% in July, which has brought about the two month average to 88%. I just checked the seller dashboard randomly and came across this info. I'm a super low volume seller who doesn't take returns so I know I never have a shot at any discounts, which is why I never check my dashboard. So this came as quite a shock.

Yes, the numbers are crap. Mine are always wrong and the total percentage does not add up from the separate parts. Still bugs.

I go through Ebay as well, and always ship within one business day (my store settings are set such that anything sold after 8:00 AM isn't technically supposed to be shipped until the following business day), yet I still hover in the 89-90% range. It's truly mind-boggling.

Well surprised as I was....I called ebay and got some answers. I also ship direct though ebay

As you can see, as of today (Tuesday) but upload percentage is very bad, but this issues is that all the packages I shipped yesterday (approx 70 of them) are shown as sold and even that I went to the post office to have every one scanned the automated ebay system might not have checked and adjusted my percentage yet. As soon as the month ends, the sales for July will be set and when ebay sees all the packages were shipped on time it will correct itself (so I'm told)

On the top left there is a "trending data" which shows prior months. As you can see I avg. about 97-98% for my shipping but this current month is in the 70-85% range. Obviously I have not changed the way I ship and was told the percentages will come in line with prior months once ebay sees everything and new sales for July are not being added.

Thanks, that helps. I'll check again in a few days to see if they've readjusted their numbers.

Maybe a newbish question here. I have a tie listed for auction with an opening bid of 21.95 & free shipping, ending in about 30 hours. A buyer emailed me to ask if he could buy it now for $30 plus shipping. I'd be happy to take that much, but it's not clear to me if I risk my Top Seller status for ending an auction early. What would you guys do?

I would add a BIN option to the auction listing for $35 and he can buy it now that way (assuming $35 is at or above the amount required by ebay - it has to be a certain percentage more than the minimum bid).

Sounds like the item already has a bid? If so, he can't add a BIN option. There might be an easier option, but tell the buyer to bid his maximum amount and then you can end the auction and sell to the highest bidder. Not sure if you can adjust the invoice at that point.

If there are no bids, then it's a lot easier.

I see - didn't glean that from the post but you're likely right.

Thanks guys - good answers. There were no bids on it, just watchers, so I did change the BIN and notified the (potential) buyer.

I'm not sure the price will rise if there's no opposing bid, no matter how high he bids. In this example, if the other guy has bid only $20, and he bids $30, the current bid would be $20.01 or whatever, not $30.

Any idea on what's causing this streak on my pictures? It hasn't been a problem before but this batch and my last batch seem to suffer from this.

    I don't see a streak, just a lot of dog/cat hair.

Have one without it for comparison? Just looks like the way the light highlights it to me.
