Had it been coming down in price? That <$60 Isaia suit is what drew me to the seller. Looks like a newb going pro, guessing female based on the selection.

Oh yeah. I started watching it at $325…dropped $25 each week or so.

It's like a game of chicken, will it go down another $25...?
I was a buyer yesterday, spent a ton of money on items not necessarily for flip, but didn't pay more than I can get for them if I decide to sell.
The one in-one out policy in my wardrobe is going to be tested when the Isaia suits and sport coats I bought arrive next week. I negotiated with a seller who was selling her husband's stuff to include the hangers and garment bags for everything I bought.

Hmm i just remembered that i got a 60% wool peacoat for $50 off ebay. Was listed as brand new never worn, but turned out to be pretty dirty with left over receipts in the pockets when i got it. Seller was happy to do a partial refund though, so i just got it dry cleaned. I guess it could have been sold from a thrift store...not that i mind because i still got a good deal.

    Dear florian-lafage,

Keep your old overpriced suit. That response was just crass.

And of course my answer, because I'm a polite gent :

    Dear xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx,

Thank you for your interest sir!

The best solution for lowballers.... Auto-decline. It will save you the hassle of dealing with people who have no interest in paying for what your stuff is worth.

I had one guy send me a offer of less than 50% the listed price. I wrote a nice reply and sent back a counter offer. He countered with a counter offer that was the same initial offer. Offered the same counter offer to him again, and again, he came back with the initial offer. I declined and he finally got the hint.

Why is he crazy. This is the advise ebay gives on finding bargains

"Submit a Best offer ( when sellers have this option ) you will be surprised at what some sellers are actually willing to sell an item for ( I have gotten items for up to 75 % off the asking price ) You can search for items that offer this."

150$ for an Ozwald Boateng suit is a douche move. ASking WAY less than 50% of BIN is also crazy...

    On another topic guys...

I bought these Ray-Ban sunglasses for 'cheap' recently and I was quite happy... http://www.ebay.ca/itm/181422004734?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

So anyway, I received them and those are the FAKEST FAKE Ray-Ban sunglasses ever. It's plastic, sticky tag on the lens saying 'ray-ban' is not original obviously. It looked faded in the pictures but I took a chance.

Funniest thing is that I went to 2 opticians this week-end and they laughed at my face SO HARD that it was almost shameful.

Your best advice on how to get a refund WITHOUT paying for return shipping? :) This is so much a fake I would be angry to pay for return shipping................

I am super curious how you think those are fake, if you search for that model it looks exactly like the versions on the Ray-Ban website. The sticker is their polarized lens sticker and looks correct. So aside from 2 dudes laughing at you, why else do you think these are fake? If you do a google search for 'RB3026 Polarized' you will see that exact label on every pair in the photos. It seriously sounds like you have buyers remorse and are looking for a reason to get your money back?

Like, say, a $100 offer on a $800 listing? Or $40 on a $100? Or $50 on $150? Those all worked out pretty well for me.

Agreed. If those are fake, they are a very well done fake.

If you consider that a douchey offer, you might want to stop offering BIN OBO. Realistically, $150 for a used suit isn't a terrible offer, regardless of the asking price. The buyer can't see the suit in person and you have a negative feedback saying that a jacket was in way worse condition than you described. (not saying it actually was or wasn't, but the buyer sees that and assumes it's true)
