    *sigh*

OK, so refunding. Out well over $20 (plus opportunity cost) when all issaid and done, given what I paid for international shipping.

This "hobby" gets less fun every day.

The thing is that Canadian customs are sometimes painfully s...l...o...w... and you have to wait longer than you think. The buyer will probably get the shirt anyway. Let's hope he's honest enough to tell you when it does arrive.

If you guys have a bunch of stuff in the same size, do you list at the same time or spread it out so you don't compete with your own auctions?

Why doesn't ebay refund insertion fees for cancelled transactions? Buyer from Russia bid on a pair of shoes, not offering international shipping so I don't know how he even bid, and then messages asking about shipping there. Paypal address actually was in Russia. I declined and requested to cancel, which he then accepted. Ebay refunds the final value fee, but not the insertion fee? Even though my auction has no value anymore because they let someone who was ineligible to buy the shoes bid on the item. Total BS. /rant

I list them at the same time, unless it is the exact same item. Most buyers, especially international look to buy multiple items at the same time.

You would be responsible for the insertion fees even if the item did not sell. You may be able to call customer service and see if they will let you relist without a new insertion fee since the transaction was botched. For me, it would depend on how much the insertion fee was, and how much time would be wasted on hold. If it's a buck...I'd just eat it.

Thanks guys. What I meant was that I wanted to actually spend less time on it. If I had more space and/or a better backdrop, I could skip editing the background in Photoshop. It's not a big deal as it is though. I don't plan a high volume; I just have a backlog at the moment to get through.

I've seen people put fixed price items "on sale" -- that is, cut the buy it now price for a limited time. How do I do that? Or do I need some special upgraded account?

I'm hoping to "clear house" a bit and get some items moving.

That guy wasn't the only bid, so it would have sold. It's not worth the hassle for $.50 but just another reason for me to dislike ebay :(

I am fairly certain that is an ebay store feature, possibly not available to the simple seller.
How about a second chance offer? Or would you do better just to relist it.

I don't take returns this line stands out to me

Even with a stated no return policy, if it is my error, of course I will take the return and pay for return shipping. However, does this line imply that sellers should pay return shipping even on standard item returns simply when a buyer does not like the product?

What is the best way to send $800 shoes to Japan, via USPS, but protect myself. Thanks.
