About half of my eBay purchases so far this year have come from Luxeswap, and they’ve all been winners. My three favourite pieces of clothing right now are a Valstar field jacket and pants from Billy Reid and Valentini, all three of them Luxe.

The only problem is that the auctions end at around 4AM on a Monday morning in my time zone, so I start each week sleep deprived :p

I can imagine that eBaying from Mongolia could be a bit more of a chore than it is here (I've already read your posts about the shipping issues too). I certainly can't complain about my first LuxeSwap purchase. Paul Stuart sport coat in an unexpectedly luxurious-feeling fabric (it isn't tagged, so I'm not 100% what the blend is) for the cost of two drive-through car washes down the street from me.

Here's an interesting one. Sent a shirt in a polymailer. Buyer cuts the shirt when opening the mailer. Of course this is my fault. She admits that she cut it, wants compensation. I decline. She opens a return, "Seller packed the shirt in a way that it could not be opened without damaging the shirt." She has stated that she cut the shirt, then opens a return for a different reason.

Reason
Arrived damaged

Funny, the last 10,000 buyers (more than 10,000 actually) could open a polymailer without damaging the shirt. A tightly packed Padded Flat Rate Envelope requires some care when opening, but a poly is easy.

I talked to ebay and apparently they are refunding her out of their end. So she gets her money back and gets to keep a shirt with a small cut. So much for personal accountability.

I had this exact same thing happen, and when I looked the guy up there was a knife in his profile pic. Wow, that was back in 2016, time flies and things never change. I also had to get a negative feedback removed on that occasion. I remember the rep was super happy that he was able to do it.

Yup, we’ve had it happen too. We put a note on not to open with a sharp object now.

A couple of years ago, I had a buyer leave negative feedback after he cut a shirt while opening the package. After I pointed out that the packages I use have a perforated “open here” opening, he revised his feedback to positive and apologized.

I have the ebay bags with that written on it too. Thing is... they're not perforated, or at least the 2 bundles I've bought with my quarterly ebay credit haven't been.

The new ones don’t, but people should still be able to open a package without destroying the contents. Or maybe we just need to wait a million years for natural selection to do its thing.:fence:

Maybe this has been touched on already, but my unpaid item assistant hasn't worked for awhile.

Now when you go to open unpaid case it just takes me to cancel item. Anyone have any insight on this? Kinda screws us for filtering out those buyers it seems.

I just noticed on an unpaid item that, after 5 days, the seller has the option to cancel the sale for non-payment. How long has that been an option? I'm assuming that the buyer doesn't get a strike if you do this. Anyone know for sure?

Assuming it has to do with what @drlivingston shared above.
