Have someone returning a new with tags item, but they took off the tags.

How much would you deduct from the price paid?

Id fight that if you can. Wes said eBay’s customer service line is down. Normally I’d call and chat with them. Did the customer fess up to removing the tags?

Noob question: just to confirm, if I order a dymo printer, it will work on my laptop and I can just print Priority labels at home? And I don’t need a scale if I’m mailing a standard $8.40 Priority bag?

Yes, assuming your laptop is running a reasonably current OS. Check the system requirements on the product page. You don’t need a scale for any flat rate packaging, but it will pay for itself in no time if you shipping anything first class or weighed Priority.

Peeps bought $200 of stuff yesterday (a huge amount for my small time listings). I had to message and ask if they were cool waiting for me to order a label printer because of The Fear and they said no problem.

I had a weird influx of orders last night as well. If you order the labels on eBay in bulk, you can get them pretty cheap. I just ordered 20 rolls for $56+ tax.

Yeah man, I had that one guy send a pair of NWT pants back bleached, hemmed, shrunken and with a hole cut in the side. They only allowed me to keep 50%.

So, if you accept returns, can you no longer give a partial refund? I was not able to locate tracking information in ebay for the return shipment either, but it showed up today (whatta you know, last day of the return period) with an eBay return label. Also, no way to dispute a return's condition? The only thing I could find was "report buyer" which seems to do nothing and if it does they won't tell you the outcome.

Started pestering the day he paid (I have 5 day handling time specified) "please ship ASAP, I need them for an event this weekend"... Surprise, return request opened on Monday morning "too small". Well they must have fit OK because they went out NIB and came back creased, scuffed, with dirty soles. Returned to me exactly four weeks after he received them. Everything going on in the world right now and some dirtbags are still keeping busy scamming ebay returns.

And if the return was 'Not as described" (Free shipping both ways!) you don't know whether the dishonest hit against your seller rating stands. This can lead to a loss of TRS status and the accompanying 10% discount on seller fees.

Hmmm. So the review process is opaque and ebay has a financial incentive to let NAD stand. Seems fair.
