Just checking what y’all think.

here’s the message I just got

Do I ask for a quote of the repair to verify $50 and just refund that and be done with it? My description didn’t guarantee accuracy, but part of it said appears to keep time. Thoughts?

How much was the sale?
It doesn’t really sound like he’s making it up. You will probably be forced to accept the return. I would Just give him the $50 and call it a day or just kindly ask him to return the watch

I had a weird purchasing experience today.

I bid on a belt. It turned out that my bid was the only bid, so I won the auction for the opening bid price of 99 cents (even though my bid was higher).
Several hours later, the sale was canceled. I asked the seller why and he said “I ain’t no fool” and “eBay warned me about lowballers like you.”

I don’t think he understands how the auctions work. I’m not the one that set the minimum bid.

I suppose I have no options.

I mean, you can leave negative feedback if you'd like. That's about all you can do at this point though.

It looked like he was a newer seller. I tried to politely explain that I didn’t lowball my bid. It only sold for that price because nobody else bid and that was the minimum he set.

I also left negative feedback.

Post his/her screen name. I would like to add them to my list.

Wow, I haven't seen a -1 feedback score for ages...

Edit: also checked out his feedback left for others. He might be a -2 soon.

Sounds like a tinfoil hat wearing prepper.
