Buying and Selling on eBay: Tips, Tricks, Problems & Questions

Im pretty pissed. For like 10 years on the auction link where you sold something you had every option there- print shipping label, contact buyer, send second chance offer, view PayPal transaction, etc. And then yesterday they removed all options except relist and sell similar. They were all in the blank space under the "sell similar item" line below. I dont know about you guys but those were all invaluable to me. Now if I want to do any of the other functions, I have to copy/paste the item number in the seller hub which is a huge pain ********** if youre doing volume. Anyway, I spoke to two people who confirmed its a site wide update but if enough people call and complain they may reinstate it. So if you care, call. :/

While we’re on the topic of changes...

eBay.com recently removed all of the default filter options on search results (categories, completed, sizes, etc) on the desktop version for me. I now have to run a search and then click advanced search to get them to appear. It’s an incredible pain.

eBay.at has not yet rolled this out.

Has anyone else experienced this?

fwiw i can only 'sell similar' on the sold item page but still have the 'more actions' drop down under the 'sold' section of 'all selling' with a bunch of options.

This particular computer doesn't run Garage Sale. It's just standard eBay on Chrome. And, yes, it was just a little while ago.

eBay just pisses me off in general. I hate that they try to force me into 30 day or good til canceled if I try posting via the mobile app. I have to go in and post via web browser instead to be able to see the 3,7,10 day options. I don’t do enough volume (this is a hobby/supplemental income) to justify garage band or other set up yet. I’m just tired of them trying to corral you into doing stuff their way. They need to unify it so no matter the platform the options are all the same; and stop with the bullshit excuse of trying to streamline or make it easier.

I honestly think ebay does a pretty good job with the changes, though they do often suck for us. If I imagine ebay as a 25 year old grey hound bus moving at full speed, while a team of mechanics is trying to transform it into a Ferrari without losing speed or dropping off passengers, it helps me understand what kind of monster job it must be to change a 25 year old website with millions of users.

Ask me next week and I may have a different opinion.

Are you talking about an item that hasn't sold yet? Does it have to be an auction specifically or do you have the same problem on BIN?

OK, I think I'm seeing what you're seeing. I got this when I clicked view item from my feedback page. If I look at an item from within sold items, then I get the full list.
