Macbook Battery Situation Conclusion.

So, the seller would not stop messaging me, even after I told him that any further messages would be reported to eBay as harassment. Yesterday, I called eBay anchor support to see if there was any way I could block him from messaging me any more. Instead, without my consent, the ebay rep opened a SNAD return on my behalf. In the return message he requested a refund for the new battery. He said I didn't need to return it, but he just wanted to see what the seller would say. I went in and added photos for proof of the faulty battery and also my battery purchase.

Last night, the seller then began to accuse me that I damaged the laptop by replacing the battery and that I was trying to return a broken computer. I informed him that I have made no changes to the laptop, and that I have the battery here ready to be installed, and that according to his prior message, he claimed (falsely) to have agreed to split the cost. He then accused me again of blackmail/extortion and claimed that ebay was "investigating" me.

This morning, the seller agreed to send me $50 refund if I agreed to revise the feedback. I said "Thanks, I await your refund and revision request". I planned to leave him a glowing Neutral feedback about how rude and accusatory he was. He then told me he would not refund me until I revised the feedback. So, now he is extorting me, right? I called eBay to figure out my next move. The Rep told me "DO NOT REVISE YOUR FEEDBACK, this seller has been a complete jerk and you should not even consider revising it" He tried to close the return case from my side, but found he couldn't until the 19th. So, he went into the sellers account and opened a case against me from that side, ruled in my favor, and sent me a $50 refund. He also reported the seller for poor selling practices and extortion.....who by the way seems to leave only negative feedback for purchases he makes, so you may want to block him.

I'm sure I haven't heard the end of it from this guy yet, but at least it's been resolved.

I’m planning on upgrading my photography setup in the near-ish future. I want to get a camera that was quite good long enough ago to be affordable, but recent enough to still be quality. I want to be able to tear her it as well so as to maintain a smooth transition from camera to listing. I would also like to be able to use it for more than just eBay photography (scenic shoots, not ‘home videos’).

If you’ve got tips, and I know you do, I’d love to hear them. Also, if you have a 3rd or 4th string camera you’d like to liquidate, pm me.

How serious are you about scenic/landscape photography? Just about any camera, including your phone, will do the trick for eBay listings with a proper lighting setup.

I use a Canon EOS 80D, which is easy enough to transfer because my laptop has a built in SD card reader.

If you’re looking to get into a new system, Canon and Sony are the best right now. I favor Canon because I have so many lenses, but Sony has the lead in specs right now.

The new mirror less bodies are pretty amazing, and that’s where I’d be looking if I was getting a new system. My next body will probably be a Canon R series one or two generations from now.

Depends what you are shipping. Haberdashery, Shoes and Leather Goods are prohibited by the import/export laws. Italy is blocked altogether on my ebay listings.

It was an offer on a Schott A-2 so probably a no go. Thanks for the help

Watch out for user jeremycastro2334 on Grailed. Sold a Moncler parka to them, then as soon as they received it, they opened a Paypal unauthorized payment case. Hopefully Paypal acts logically in this case, they signed for delivery.

Has anyone else had eBay change their ship from address in the past few days? I use a PO Box as my primary address, and just had a bunch of labels print with my home address.

Thanks, now I'm ******* hungry.

This past February we flew to Puerto Rico and stayed at the Bohemian Vegetarian B&B. The breakfast chef was a wonderful Venezuelan woman, she made the best arepas. OMG nomnom

Maybe she's flipping menswear on the side :rimshot:
