I don't have a "store" and have always been charged extra to "schedule" auctions if you don't want them to start right away.

On another topic, I have had a run of people asking me for condition details on items that are clearly pictured or described and usually both.

    Here are two recent comments:

    1. Are there any markings on the tie from being dry cleaned and pressed?

    2. would you accept a lower offer. How would you rate the condition?

Am I just being paranoid or do people do this to set up potential return criteria?

I've started answering with a cut and paste of the condition description that I include in the auction along with a statement saying it is sold per the photos and description listed online.

How do you guys handle these requests?

Surely if you have proof of messages and possibly photos of the item, the signed POD and can show the profile was new with no feedback then Ebay should be able to side with you here? Sounds like you have enough to back your case. And if not I know there is a 30 day appeal time which you can try again. I would just make sure to have all documentation and proof ready to send through.

Yesterday I received a shirt with an overlooked missing button. It was NWT, the seller was very nice, and shipped the second the auction ended. I dropped them a private note, and went ahead and left positive feedback after reading here how disruptive even a neutral rating could be (and because I was happy with the transaction, and the seller).

That's not against bro code, right?

thanks for the responses all, not sure why i was getting the scheduled listings options for free until now.

one other question. anybody have a suggestion on recommended credit card for thrifting/expense use? thinking of opening a business only card and link it up directly with the godaddy ebay app.

I love it when I block someone (in this case, it was for overtly trying to get me to do business outside of Ebay) and their follow up message proves that I made the right choice. He was reported to Ebay as well...

Get whatever kind of "card with benefits" will serve you best. I have a Southwest Airlines airmiles card. After about 1.25 years, I have accrued enough airmiles for 5 roundtrip flights almost anywhere they fly. I've only used one...

Using PayPal CC makes a lot of sense. I use it for all thrift related purchases and even my travel when I do a road trip to thrift.

    All tracked in GoDaddy.

I had the same experience as you. I used to always list items at a scheduled start time with no fee. A few months ago I upgraded to a Store. Now I pay $0.10 to schedule listings. It must be the Store vs. the regular seller account.
