How do you deal with eBay is they say your item's name is a search and browse manipulation? Want to sell some RRL chinos, and the official name was Deadstock Boss Chino and since they are selvedge I mentioned that as well. Lady on phone said she'd email me to avoid "taking up my time" and email I got just said don't put "selvedge boss chino" in title. How do I respond as that's the freaking item name

I shipped Priority Mail Insured to an SF buyer there about a year ago. No problem.

I know, my old point and shoot would never let this happen. This is the second time I have done it. So frustrating. Someone mentioned a wireless camera card that transmits to my laptop. Might look into that. Has anyone used one?

Looking at this one...looks like it would pay for itself by eliminating even just one nights worth of cardless photo taking.

    1. I am not sure, but I am guessing the transfer rate would be quite slow via wifi. Definitely a great idea if you don't mind setting the transfer and then walking away, though.

    2. I am not sure you "could" still forget. If there is always one in the computer and one in the camera, you are forced to swap them. Would you really take one out of the computer, and leave it on the desk while you take the one out of the camera and insert it into the computer? I would think it it would force you to always have one in each location.

    1. The transfer time would be shared with clothing article measurement time, so no biggie.

    2. Never underestimate the power of my disorganization, lol.

It shouldn't be this difficult to communicate......lol

    Listing in question
STEFANO RICCI Luxury Super 160 Wool Gray Pants Trouser 44/31 St Andrews Italy

    Dear weso0119,

you have 4 mens ricci slacks for sale? what do u want to work out for all of them

    Dear xxx

I actually have 6 pairs listed. They are an sale for one week. I would be willing to work something like this for a bulk purchase...

    1 Pair - $135
    2 Pairs - $250
    3 Pairs - $360
    4 Pairs - $460
    5 Pairs - $550
    6 Pairs - $600

My non sale price for all 6 pairs is over $1600 so this is a great deal. As you know they run about $1000 a piece new.

Let me know what you want to do and I can set it up.

    Dear weso0119,

Can u send me pics and give me sizes for all 6? They are all 46 suit size waist correct around a 36 us?

    Dear xxx

They are all already listed, just go to my store and search Ricci and you will see them all. They are all about the same approximate size, - 44" US waist as stated in the listing.

    Dear weso0119,

Ok will do in the next 30min. I'm newer to ebay and the 44 the the suit size not a actual 44 correct? So its equivalent to a 34-36 inch waist? 54-56 italian?

    Dear xxx

No 44 is the size in inches.

    Dear weso0119,

Ok no prob. I can have them taken in. Ill prob take all 6

    Dear xxx

Are you going to try to take them in 10". That's an awful lot.

    Dear weso0119,

    36 to 38 is comfortable for me. I wear a 46 suit. 6'4 260. Isn't a 44 and a 42 like the size of a suit? Or am I completly mistaken?

    Dear xxx

I think there is a little confusion. If you measure around your waist, you need to measure 43 or 44 inches for these to fit. I am 230 pounds and wear a size 44 or 46 jacket and size 38 to 40 pants. These are size 44 pants. They are 4" to 6" too large for me. They are for a pretty large man.

In other words, These have an actual measurement of 44" waist and a 31" inseam.

    Dear weso0119,

Oh ok so ur saying they are way to big to take in. Correct?

    Dear xxx

Well just to check, do you know what your pants size is?

    Dear weso0119,

    I'm a 46 suit so a 36 to 38 waist fits me comfortably.

    Dear xxx

Yeah that's still 6" they need to be taken in. I don't know. That seems like a lot. I'm sure an expert tailor could do it by reconstructing the pants altogether, but it would surely be pricey.

In the end he still bought a pair, will be back to buy the rest if his tailor is a magician.

Definitely a nice person. I believe there was some sort of language barrier or something.

Hey guys, I am a new poster here on sf. I have a problem with my buyer recently and I'm currently disputing with this fckin buyer.

Last week, I listed a few items on ebay and there was one buyer won three of my items. The guy/girl paid via paypal. The order totaled about $3000. There were two pairs of really rare Nikes and one pair of JL (worn twice). I shipped them with signature confirmation and insured the full amount. As soon as this person received the package, he/she opened a case with pp saying that the content was not described. He/she claimed to received 3 used pairs of Adidas. Of course, I sent pp the pics of everything.

What can I do here? PP said the pics proved that I have the items, not that I shipped them. What's the protection for seller in the case like this? I shipped to a confirmed address, and this scammer has 50+ something feedbacks. He/she lives in New England and I live in San Diego. I lost my faith with the authorities already since they won't even want to hear my story; "Its a civil matter, I'm sorry."

I've tried the lawyer, but he wanted $1500 retainer fees. I asked him if it's 100% guarantee to recover the money, he said it's hard to prove, but he will try. I never go back again.

When you list odd-sized stuff, like 41R suits, pants with a 35 waist or 31 inseam, etc., do you do anything to help capture people looking for the nearest common size (40/42R, 34/36W, etc.?) I've occasionally put the nearest common size in the title, but been afraid to select it instead of the actual size when listing the item specifics. What do y'all think?

That's what I do. For a 41R, I would do something like "Dark Gray 41R 32/30 wool suit blah blah blah 40R" . I probably wouldn't go up to the next size to avoid something ending up being too tight. Then I put the actual measured size in the drop down selector. In the description I put the tagged size and then the measured size. If it measures out to a 41, I usually say "measures like a 40R-41R.
