Just a quick side note (to everyone).... you may not like/agree with all the answers they give you, BUT they IMO have always gave me accurate straightforward answers. Ebay has some crappy polices that we all know about and it is very buyer friendly. The customer service reps I have spoken to on the phone know this and just because you/they feel you might be in the right does not mean the answers they give you will be in your favor. They should be ale to tell you though, what is the best way to proceed and what the facts are. When I say to call them I dont mean its going to work out in your favor 100% of the time, but you will get the best correct answers to your problem.

+1
Excellent observation. I have called a few times and have been extremely satisfied with the service. I've experienced short wait times and reps who go above and beyond.

Aaaaand here's the Deadboy edition of He wrote / He got.

What He Got:

I could honestly care less about getting negged by this guy.

I've had issues like this, so I have the times listed by Canada Post right in my auction, along with mention of possible delays due to customs. It seems to have cut down on the number of upset buyers; but I wonder if the stated times deter any possible customers.

I have shipped to Poland a couple of times with no problems. Same for Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. Insure it and don't worry about it.

Shipping rates in Canada all went up last week. Perhaps the same in the US (and in turn for ebay based packages)

besides shipping going up, they have limited the amount we can insure items for to $1000. That bothers me far more than the increase in rates.

I was quoted $25 to ship one tie in an extra-small box (4"x4") from Toronto to Alabama. That was just standard shipping w/ tracking. And then they charged me $4 for the box!

With this increase, does USPS stay competative amongst FedEx and ups?

Damn how do u guys who offer free shipping handle this spike?

Regional rate box B is like 14 usd now. And flat rate medium stayed at 10.85...these sizes are somewhat comparable to each other...I just don't get it.

EDIT: I just checked prices again tonight, 24hrs from last check in, and prices decreased a tad.

Regional rate box A went for 8.65 last night down to 7.95...

And regional box B went from almost 14, down to 12.74...

You do realize regional rate varies by distance right?

So with Sunday night football messing up auction results on Sunday evenings, what days do you guys typically move to this time of year, if you do change it up? I had decent luck with Saturday evenings last year but am pondering Monday evenings this year. Sunday around noon to 1 also crossed my mind but I figured people have pre-game parties and will be preparing. Thoughts?

I think if you are selling "fashion" your cross pollenation is low. If you sell manly man stuff, should be better for you actually.
