I typically send the bidders a message too if I need to revise an item.

Do Tweed sportcoats sell all year round? I have many to sell but wondering if I need to wait till next fall?

While they will sell year round, I saw a significant drop in the selling price last spring and decided to stock up on them for fall. I plan to do the same this year.

Time to learn about ebay, here I go!

My first question, first and last name. Will this be shown at the profile or something for the public if I sell/buy something?

Or only at the end once I bought the item and so on?

Only when you purchase something, unless you have it saved in your message signature. Many users also just create a business name to use in the Ship to address, so you could potentially still remain anonymous if you are really concerned about it.

Wow you really are starting from scratch!

I will recommend these books for you.

eBay For Dummies by Marsha Collier (Paperback, 2012)
eBay Listings That Sell For Dummies by Marsha Collier and Patti Louise Ruby

Seriously, I got them after about a year of simple selling, I wish I had them from the beginning. There are a lot of things in there that you might not have though about, that will save you time and heartache when just starting out. I have already passed on my copies or else I would send them to you.

Of course this thread will be a great resource for you as well.

Are there any premium size in shoes, shirts & sport coats that can be sold at a premium?

Kind of an inter-related question. What sizes typically sell faster?

I just got this message from buyer: Hey man, I thought I had it shipped to my Connecticut address but I just checked tracking and I guess I sent it to my apartment in Tuscaloosa I wont be back there untill January 10th and I just called the post office there in Tuscaloosa and they said they sent it back to you.. whats the procedure here

I was going to offer to ship it to him if he paypals me the cost to send the flat rate box back to his paypal address so he gets it around Jan 10. Otherwise I'm not really sure what to do. If some more experience sellers have any advice, I would like to hear it! Thank you.

36S suits and 7.5D shoes are horrible, terrible and never sell. Just send them to me to dispose of. [IMG]

Had this happen today for an international transaction. I gave him the registered tracking number and he left me positive feedback for "fast shipping" but its still going to take 10-15 days to get to him.

That's what I would do. He should have no problem paying the additional since it was his slip-up. Or, maybe you could talk even him into buying something else and ship them together.

Ebay buyers need to learn how to sprinkle things like "Would you mind...", "I would appreciate if you would...", "Thanks" or "Please..."

I think some of them were raised by wolves. Here is the entire text of a message from a prospective buyer:
Pitarm 2 Pitarm
Waist belt line 2d button from bottom
Yoke shoulder 2 shoulder

I don't respond to those. The same request with a little bit of courtesy gets measurements.

Almost sounds like a sartorial haiku of something. To which there really would be no response.

Not exactly a haiku, but I like it.

Pitarm 2 Pitarm
Waist belt line 2d button from bottom
