Buttonhole stitching unraveling - can it be repaired?

Unfortunately the collar buttonhole stitching of a new shirt started unraveling after washing and wearing the shirt for the first time. What I mean with this is: The stitching must have been already damaged and the threads got pulled out along a section of the buttonhole edge when I closed/ opened the button (see attached picture - it is a bit tricky to see since it is white thread on white fabric). The fabric looks undamaged without any fraying etc.

Here is my question to the forum's shirt experts or members with similar experience: Is this something which can be easily repaired by a decent tailor or should I send it back to the shirt maker (which would require sending the shirt from the US to HK)? Just wanted to hear some opinions before consulting a local tailor...

Easily repaired by a competent tailor, or even an amateur with a sewing machine.

Very funny and not juvenile at all. So, in addition to serious answers fell free to post all the ******** jokes which you can't hold back.

Usually with a machine buttonhole you sew first, then cut. When the hole is cut first, I think it's best to do it by hand. Most alterationist type tailors wouldn't know how to do a purl stitch buttonhole by hand--which is the right way to do it. At least, I don't think so--I could be wrong.

That's the best way, but it'd probably be fine if they just stuck it on a zigzag machine and sewed over it.

Since it is a custom shirt from a nice fabric, I assume it is worth looking for a tailor who is experienced in stitching a buttonhole by hand?
