Once you get used to them, there is no going back. I really can't imagine having zippers on my jeans after using button flies for the past few years.

I haven't owned zip jeans in five years. They suck; the zipper works its way down, and they just don't have the appeal of really nice doughnut buttons. Plus button fly is actually quicker to undo in a moment of urgency.

Look better, don't unbutton themselves, don't break as easily.

More and more of my pants now are button fly and I've been slowly getting used to them. Still takes me a bit longer to get them done/undone which can be a pain sometimes.

Button flys all the way.

Also true of snap-button shirts.

Definitely button flys for me. Ever since I watched some local show about some father zippering his junk as a kid I've always been afraid of doing that.

ftfy I'm a button fly guy in my gut and soul, and wish more pants had them. I see no reason to justify it or analyze it. It's traditional, a great detail, and was put on jeans for a reason. The cringe factor of even thinking about the time I got ********* pinched in a zipper is reason enough. There are faster ways to fasten shoes, so why are we still using laces? Ties are a useless artifact, so why wear them? You get my drift here...

I used to hate button fly, but after wearing 501's for 6-7 months I began preferring the ease of button fly. Also, you know if you missed a button on button fly.. you can zip up a zipper and still end up walking around with your barn door open.
