How could you talk about flies without listing Flea? That said, I voted zipper, and les.

Definitely button fly. I'm so used to the extra effort in buttoning and unbuttoning that I don't even think about it anymore. I'm an over the fence guy anyway.

Over the years, I've tried to go "button fly" a few times...and it was usually not so much out of choice, but rather because the particular jeans I wanted only came with the button fly....or that button fly pair was the only version they had in stock at the time. I own several pairs of (very vintage) Versace jeans that are button fly (they're the longer rise Signature versions from the early days, not the less expensive Jeans Couture versions that came later). The jeans are really great (not too "overdone")...but I always hesitated to wear them because of the button fly. (The jeans are too tight now...but I've been steadily losing weight for the past several months and if I manage to lose a bit more...maybe I'll be able to get into those jeans again).

I really don't mind the buttons so much (I do like the look)...The problem is when I'm buttoning-up and come to the last button!! I find that unless I go to the trouble of undoing the jeans completely (belt buckle and all)... trying to get access to that last button, so that it can be maneuvered into the buttonhole, can be a major hassle. I come away feeling like I need to be a contortionist in order to accomplish the task at hand. Too much trouble.

As a result of those several failed attempts...I'm now definitely a confirmed zipper guy.

After wearing buttonfly jeans for over a year now, I am definitely a buttonfly guy.
The awesome ripping open of the jeans is just unresistable :S

Button fly is much better - I am breaking in my 5EP with the zip-fly and that ******* thing keeps going down on it's own. Great jeans otherwise, but wish they had a button fly.

Definitely a big button fan over here. I don't know, I guess I feel like it's easier to forget to zip up than to forget to button up for some reason... or maybe... I have problems...

I would only buy button fly jeans. My dress trousers come with zip-up fly; do they come any other way? Even casual (cargo-like) pants seems to only have zippers.
