Button color for a light gray suit

I'm on the verge of placing an order for a light gray, 2 button, notch lapel suit and realized I need to select a color for the buttons. I've seen light gray suits with both black and brown horn buttons, though it seems black is the more common. Is one more appropriate or versatile than the other?

It seems the decision of which to go with might be partially dependent on shoe color. I will be wearing the suit with both black and all manner of brown shoes. However, since my brown shoes outnumber the black many times I imagine it will see much more wear with brown shoes. So, what color should I go with?

I have a nice ligt grey summer suit with white MOP buttons.
Looks good, but maybe not for businesswear...

Good call. I had actually considered MOP but since for my purposes the suit will need to be worn for both business and social occasions I think I'll wait until the next suit.

Also, added a poll. Feel free to vote.

I have a light grey suit with silver grey mop buttons, again probably not for a business setting.

The buttons look a lot lighter IRL. I could not make the picture work. Sorry.

I agree with the light grey horn buttons. I like buttons to blend in with the suit, unless they are something special like MOP.

I'm just not a fan of corozo. I used to be, but horn is nicer.
