Hiya folks!

I've been looking around the forums and just have to say that this place has some AWESOME advice! So, I signed myself up.

But on to my question. I am looking at a suit, REALLY nice, REALLY affordable. It's two-button, which is nice, because I have two suits and both are three-button. There is just one thing about the suit I'm looking at that has me a wee concerned. The two buttons it has are in the same location as the top two buttons on a normal three-button suit

It was my understanding that traditional two-button suits had their buttons in the place where the bottom two would be on a three-button.

It's a little strange, but I just thought maybe someone here would have something to say on it, and perhaps offer me any tips on what type of events a suit of such sort would be good for. It's a tannish-darkish-greenish-brownish-greyish-orangish colour.

Oh, it is brand new, but a pull-off from retail shelves because it didn't sell. Perhaps this says something, eh?

Height of the button is referred to as "button stance". Current fashion is to have a high stance. Classic style is to have the stance at your natural waist. Whether it looks good will depend on the rest of the jacket details and your body. Read the archives or a book for more info. It could be on sale because of the colour?
