@troika thanks, unfortunately what I expected... I sized down one UK size from what I typically wear.

Which models are you looking at? I'm sure we can find you the right size. It's annoying, but it's not the worst like barbanera or any French shoe maker ever

I usually wear an 11.5 in shoes/boots and a 12 in sneakers.

Can anyone speak to the sizing and color on these? Are they that yellow or more of a pumpkin?

I'm an 11 in sneakers and 43 in buttero's. Not sure if a 44 then translates to a 12 (but I'd imagine it would) then I've got a brand new pair that I scored from END when I sized incorrectly. Return shipping costs were insane so I just kept them and anticipated giving them to the old man. Id part with them at cost- $180 + shipping

So, those are size 44 (12) and too big for you?

I picked up the taupe suede Taninos. Great sneakers. Time to retire my right year old Eapulet sneakers.

This is the pair I picked up, really beautiful and comfortable in person. I have never shoe treed sneakers but since these are veg tanned leather, I think I will put shoe trees in these.

Does anyone have a source for Buttero shoelaces in the States? I bought a pair of boots at an incredible price but one of the shoelaces came snapped off.

Breaking these in today. A little tight around the vamp but I'm sure they will stretch given the nature of the leather.

I tend to buy my shoes in pairs of pairs. So, after picking up my first pair of Butteros, I bought another pair. These definitely need some break-in but so far, pretty happy with them.

I changed the laces out on the suede as I much preferred the soft cotton that came with the "tan" ones. The leather laces are useless. I happened to have some really nice cotton laces lying in my lace bag. I can't for the life of me remember what they came from but they worked out nicely.

Interesting. I didn't see a lot of laceups, mainly slipons and mainly suede. I did find a pair in my size that still had the sticker on the bottom and appear unworn. With the discount and the new member signup, they came out to $69 shipped so I picked them up.

That's pretty tempting. If I wear a 10.5 in vans slip ons would I take the 42.5 on those suede Tanino slip ons?
