I grabbed the black in 43. May not work for me depending on instep so stay tuned if anyone’s bummed about missing out on a 43.

Taking advantage of a (relatively) warm and sunny day to do a little maintenance...

My burgundy Tanino's have always appeared dry to me. I hit them with some Alden neutral cream today, and I think it only made it worse. Full disclosure, the cream was a little old and I might have warmed it up a bit much, so there is probably some wax buildup on them now too. What would you guys try to shine them up a bit? Burgandy polish? I have some Obenaufs LP I was thinking of trying just to see if that would moisten them up a bit. Open to other idea. My brown pair could probably use something also, they have some wax buildup as well. Thanks for the suggestions.

I forgot I had some Saphir Renovateur, that might be worth a shot?

Thanks man. The Renovateur fixed them up just like I wanted them to look. Even went back and redid my dark brown pair since I was so happy with how they turned out. A few wears on each and they will be looking great. Love these shoes! Wish I had picked up some more along the way. I've seen some of the perforated ones around and they would be fantastic for the summer.

probably beaten to death q, but in your opinion, is the sizing chart on Butteros site accurate? I want a par of Taninos. Im usually an UK 12, but the chart suggests an 11 would be right...

I have an old pair of Buttero side zips in a 46/UK 12 that fit pretty good with an insole and thick socks (e.g., might be a bit on the large side...).

Don't laugh, but my cotton laces shrunk in the wash... I like how the Buttero laces are thicker/wider than most cotton laces. Anyone know where to get replacements?

How consistent is Buttero sizing across different styles? If Taninos in 45 fit well, is that a safe bet for their leather shoes ?

I have found I need to size down in Taninos and go TTS in their leather boots. I wear a 44 in Taninos and 45 in boots.

No, it's more model-specific for me. How did you size your taninos relative to your brannoc/other shoe sizes?

So far my experience has been:

Canalone/Quentins/whatever that awful cowboy-chelsea is = down a half or tts

Floyds or Brunellos = down 1

@troika thanks, unfortunately what I expected... I sized down one UK size from what I typically wear.
