I am very happy with my Grenfell coat but its CS sucks. They are baggy, large, light and more on the business side although I wear it with jeans too. Excellent fabric quality and design. The navy colour its just perfect.

How casual do you want to go? The Barbour Border might work for you. It's the longest version out of the three foundational jackets (Beadale, Beaufort, Border),

I have actually been looking for a while for a mid-length, fairly light (spring/early autumn, so no wool topcoats), mid-length coat to wear over a jacket (crucial element) when commuting to work. Since I commute by car, and it doesn't even rain that much, I feel like I don't really need a waxed jacket and am afraid It won't breathe well, I mostly need a little additional buffer for the early morning cold (since the office is warm, I can't just wear heavy tailoring and do away with outerwear).
But on the other hand, I haven't really found anything that both looks nice, is practical for driving, and is meant to work over jackets. It's just traditional wax jackets and macs, and the latter always look plain and boring to me.
Maybe I should just get one of these.

Someone earlier in this thread mentioned Norwegian Rain. I have their Single Breasted coat and couldn’t be happier with it. With the zip-in liner it is a true 3 season coat.

I scored a black Loro Piana Horsey jacket on sale 25 years ago. I remove the vest liner and wear it over a suit year round. Loro Piana had the moth eaten collar on the vest repaired for me for $150 and it came back like new. I usually wear the vest separately, but can combine them on cold days. It is a few inches longer than a suit jacket. Not quite as long as the Border, but longer than the Beaufort. Good luck finding one to fit you, but keep an eye out. They are great with everything, especially traveling in a suit. If it is really raining, you will want something longer.
