Burberry trenchcoats sizing

hello guys,

I am in the market for a new beige trench. I am a 48/50 in suitsupply/boggi suits. Would a 50 burberry fit? I know that the 52 would probably be better, but could get a medium lenght 50 for an ok price. I plan to wear it over a suit.

I'm a European size 42 for a jacket and that's the size I take for Burberry outerwear, including their "Westminster" trench coat. I always wear such things over a jacket.

One note, though: a trench coat should be long enough to come below the knee (well below, in my opinion). Short trench coats are pointless.
