Any tailor sizing help is greatly appreciated.

I've found a great burberry trench online but I'm currently traveling in Asia and am unable to get measured.

I'm 6 foot tall, slim build.

The available sizes are:

Size M
Armpit-Armpit: Approx. 21 inches
Top-Bottom: Approx. 33 inches

Size L
Armpit-Armpit: Approx. 22.5 inches
Top-Bottom: Approx. 34 inches

Would either of these work for me? Which one would be best.

Great thanks!

I think this would largely depend on what you will be wearing underneath the trench. If you plan on wearing a suit underneath, then I would err towards the larger one. Otherwise, I would take the measurements of a coat you own that fits you well and compare the measurements.

BTW, unless I'm mistaken, Burberry Trenches should be in European numbered sizes. What's the deal with the M L?

I agree with nelly. My Burberry trench is a 38 R. However, mine is from England, and I believe some of their stuff (sold in the USA) is made elsewhere. Perhaps that's the reason.

Anyway, to answer your question: I would think that a six-footer would need a Large, even if it would be a bit blousy, to get the length right.
