I have been bidding on this Burberry button up shirt for the past few days. The price has passed $100.00 now, and I started to take a second look into the authenticity of this shirt. Upon further inspection, I see a few red flags that don't exactly add up. For one, I cannot find this EXACT shirt in any Collection that Burberry has released in the last 10 years or so.

Would someone please take a look at this and confirm or deny my suspicions. I know the seller is advertising the shirt as authentic, but when I asked him where he bought the shirt, he told me it was an Ebay purchase a few years ago, further raising my suspicions.

A second opinion would be MUCH appreciated.

What makes you so confident that it IS in fact authentic?

Nova check is one of the most counterfeited designs going, there's probably more fake stuff than real. If in any doubt walk away. To be honest I'd walk away real or not. The check is fine as a lining, but as a shirt it screams 'I want to be thought of as big spender'.

As a 23 year old young professional, that is honestly the look I was going for with this shirt. Paired with a nice pair of dark navy slim flit jeans and a pair cognac leather driving loafers, it screams "Not on the college frat boy budget." That is why I am being such a stickler regarding authenticity. With such a statement piece such as this, every detail will be under a microscope. Wearing a fake when I paid the authentic sticker price would double the sting.

Add a Burberry trench coat inside out for a monochrome outfit (Brit or London since Prorsum don't have check lining)

You will all be happy to know that I am no longer the highest bidder on this shirt and do not plan on bidding again. $150+ for a used shirt is pretty crazy, especially since its authenticity is in question.

Good choice. Keep it simple with patterns and designs :)
