    Hello,

I was looking Burberry scarfs on Ebay, and I feel that most of them are fakes. Are they any way to spot fake Burberry scarfs?

    Thanks

check out the seller's feedback. Chances are that if they sold a fake, someone eventually would have picked up on it.

They are nearly all fakes. It is by far the sasiest thing to fake well. Why do you want one anyway? The whole Burberry plaid thing has been played out for about, um, 5 years?

Burberry is still huge in Europe and especially in Japan, last winter it seemed like 1 of 3 people were wearing Burberry of some type. I think the new creative director has really kickstarted the brand.

You mean Christopher Bailey. And the real credit should go to the CEO, who got on board about 1997 (?) In any case, the ubiquity alone seems to be reason enough to avoid the obvious logoeing. I have nothing against Burberry Prorsum's pieces - I personally have a heavy mustard mock neck from a few seasons back, and fitted cotton canvas reefer jacket (more suited to clubbing than to nautical adventure though) and I really liked their moleskin blazer about 3 or 5 seasons back, but a Burberry plaid scarf? Really now. Why don't we all just tattoo "Prada on our foreheads and be done with."

I kinda like the colors that aren't tan a bit though, I have one of the grey ones, and if nothing else, it is rather warm. Of course I almost never wear it here in Cali. I have a Burberry charcoal windowpane suit that I believe was made by HF that is decent.

While Burberry might be somewhat played out, I don't see the rationale behind questioning someones desire to own a Burberry scarf, especially since alot of people such as myself simply enjoy the way they look, regardless of how played out they might be. I own two Burberry scarves and I enjoy them. This season they have some nice solid color scarves out which are a great, refreshing alternative to the signature plaid.
